The Canine Good Neighbor Program is a 12-step test, that when completed successfully, ensure that one of our most favored companions is accepted as a valued member of our communities right across the country. Canine Good Neighbors can be counted on to present good manners at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. The test is non-competitive and allows dog and handler to demonstrate confidence and control in 12 steps. It assesses the handler and dog's relationship, together with the handler's ability to control the dog. Dogs are evaluated on their ability to perform basic exercises as well as their ability to demonstrate good manners in everyday situations.

This class is $135.00+tx which includes 1 Test Fee ; Drop In Fee is $20.00/per session

For those who do not sign up for the class but are still wanting to take the test, the fee is $30.00+tx

Rally Obedience is intended to promote positive relationships between dogs and owners based on trust and respect. Dog and handler use directional signs to go through a numbered course within an allotted time.

I started training dogs when I was very young and have been involved in training and showing for over 40 years. I have owned many dogs and understand the necessity of a well trained dog. Some of the breeds I have owned and raised are Dobermans, Siberian Huskies, Chinese Crested, and I have owned Rottweilers for many years. I have been teaching for over 35 years. When I first started out in dog shows I was 19 and have shown many dogs to their championship. This included many Best of Breeds, multiple Group Placings and multiple Best In Shows. I am very active in Rally Obedience and have gotten many High In Class at the Novice, Advanced and Excellent Level. I also have received titles in competitive Obedience. Some of the most fun I have had training is getting 3 Herding Titles on one of my Rottweilers. I hope I can be of help to any and all students who attend my classes.

My interest in training dogs started when I was just a pup myself. I grew up next door to a couple of very impressive Rottweilers that were trained by hand signals, a large Doberman across the lane, and our home which was never without a dog. I could usually be found rolling around the front yard, with one of these dogs by my side. As I grew up, I realized the importance of well trained dogs (and owners). My love and interest in overall canine health and well being also grew. I am now the proud “Mama” of 2 Rottweilers, which I have trained and shown to their championships. They both have obedience titles, a herding title, as well as many Rally Obedience titles. They are both my babies and my world really does revolve around my dogs! I am also a Canadian Kennel Club certified evaluator for CGN, as well as St Johns Ambulance Pet CPR.  Every class I teach is a great source of pride on Graduation Day! It is my pleasure to watch every new dog and owner progress through the stages of becoming a canine good neighbor!
